Steve Walker is the Managing Director of Promise Money, a Wolverhampton-based master broker specialising in secured loans, specialist mortgages, bridging and development finance. With a career that began in 1986 at Midland & General (later Purple Loans) and now spanning more than three decades, Steve has built a reputation for service, honesty and integrity while overseeing loan volumes that once delivered profits exceeding £7.5 million a year for his former firm. Over the years, he has: Founded Promise Money in 2003, providing “whole-of-market” packaging and referral services to brokers, introducers and consumers nationwide. Served as Chairman of the Corporation of Finance Brokers and later became Vice-Chairman & Policy Director of the Association of Finance Brokers, helping steer the secured-loan industry through major regulatory change. Established the Promise Dreams charity in 2021, granting wishes to seriously ill children in the UK. Built an in-house expert team that handles everything from mainstream residential mortgages to complex cases involving bad credit, CCJs and self-employment. Steve’s background as an auctioneer and chartered surveyor underpins his holistic understanding of property, risk and finance.
